"If there’s any one group of women in Bristol that knows a fantastic cake recipe when they see it, it has to be One25. Our supporters have been baking delicious, home-made cakes since the day we started our night outreach in 1996. Whether it’s scrumptious chocolate brownies for our night van, lemon drizzle birthday cakes at our drop-in or the spectacular Naomi House launch party cake – they all go within seconds!

“It has been great fun working with food writer, Melissa Blease, and designer Jason Ewing on this project and also with the much-loved Bristol restaurants and cafes that joined in and donated these great recipes. Having eaten a few during the photo shoot for the book, I can already vouch for Castellano’s Orange Drizzle Cake! Nothing brings people together as a community and gets them talking so much as a cup of tea and a few wedges of rich, home-made cake."

100% of the profits go to Bristol charity One25 for their work with vulnerable women in Bristol who are trapped in street sex-work, addiction and violence.
