Your hallway is where you greet the outside world. – and symbolically where you let abundance and energy into your life. So, it’s of paramount importance to keep it in tip top condition if you want to prosper and live harmoniously! Most halls in this country are long and thin, so the energy rushes straight through, unable to meander around your home.

These simple ideas can help make your home welcoming, energised, supportive and in harmony for you and your guests. So, try them today!

• Hanging a wind chime prevents negative energy and moderates the flow of positive ch’i.
• Anything that inspires visitors, from well-lit artwork on the walls to plant arrangements are desirable. Floor standing plants are especially effective at slowing the energy flow
• Therapeutic sound and sight of a stunning water feature can be ideal in your hall, influencing health if it lies towards the East, wealth if it lies towards the SE, and your career if towards the North
• Simple things like coat hooks or coat wardrobes for visitors encourage them to dwell in the hall, adding to its harmonious energy
• Less obvious, are racks or cupboards for shoes and footwear to encourage visitors to lose their shoes. Unlike slippers, try keeping a selection of freshly laundered warm cuddly socks for the visitors to give them a welcoming feeling
• Lighting is critical to boosting the ambience and lifting the energy; and. ‘up -lighters’ are ideal
• Hang a mirror, especially if it reflects beautiful pictures or if the hallway is narrow as it helps disperse the ch’i and stops it flowing straight through the house

And don’t forget to stimulate the five senses. Ensure your hall smells welcoming. Fresh flowers, especially lilies, provide a wonderful fragrance. An attractive cooking aroma can anticipate the sense of taste. And the sense of touch can be stimulated by textures and inviting sculptures.
