A Feng Shui Message for Father's Day

In Feng Shui, all the 9 areas of your life are represented in this template, called The Bagua. When all the above 9 zones are in balance, powerfully related through the polarity of their physical and vibrational forces, we are said to be in the state of harmony, the essence of Feng Shui.

Both physical and vibrational relationships exist in the bagua. Universal opposites like 2 and 6 –heaven and earth, are related.

However, the physical opposites 180 degrees across also have the relationships with each other.  Let us examine these.

1   Water represents Discovery, the journey or career and 9 fire represents illumination and fame. That implies, the more we go forward in our career in life, the more we become illuminated.

8  Mountain represents wisdom and self-reflection and 2 earth represents love, our relationship with the world. Our relationships with others really emerge from our inner world. The more we know our own selves, the more we will improve our relationships with others.

4 Wind or wood represents fortunate blessings and wealth- 6  heaven represents courage or helpful friends. The more we live like helpful friends and sharing our blessings, the more we become blessed with good fortune. Be generous to become wealthy. Also if you are wealthy, be a helpful friend.

5  Earth represents unity and health. Any imbalance in any of the other 8 areas we experience, our health gets affected immediately. Unease about our job satisfaction, our own wealth, our relationships with others or our elders, instantly affect our health adversely.

3 Thunder represents our elders and 7  lake represents our children and creativity. The very life our parents and ancestors have given us is the greatest of our blessings. As we come to terms with our ancestors, we can realise our self-expression through our children. This relationship stresses that treat your parents the way you would wish your children to treat you in the future.  

On Father’s day – greet your father-express your gratitude- pray for his happiness-respect him- enjoy with him-give him a gift-look after him and thank him for giving you the greatest of your blessings in life.
