The house (previously on the market from June to November with no decent offers made during that period), went on the market again last week with an 'open house' starter day last Saturday. I had 3 offers on it by the Monday after, and we went till Friday for best and final bids. It has gone under offer with the best of 4 bids at £31,000 over the asking price!!! The estate agents are totally bemused in the current climate and say it is the best response they have had to a property in 18 months! What an incredible experience to have you work at our house in the conditions that you would have had every right to run away from! It had to be the coldest day of last year, in a house with half a roof, no heating (no walls, no complete flooring, certainly no heating!) no running water, no toilet facilities and yet you worked effortlessly with a wonderful sense of humour.
